Rev. David Michael
Pastor Dave surrendered his life to Jesus and became a born-again Christian in September of 1976. Because of his love for the Lord who saved him out of a life of drugs, alcohol and the occult, he was compelled to began his Ministry by street witnessing, sharing his testimony in local Churches and conducting home Bible Studies.
He joined a local Assembly of God Church where he served for six years as the Director of Christian Education and taught Sunday School for both children and adults. He started a Prison Ministry, a Hospital Visitation Ministry and a Food Pantry. He eventually became the Assistant Pastor and performed weddings and funerals, as well as preached in the Sunday morning services.
He then became the Assistant Pastor at another local Assembly of God Church and served there for two years where he lead Praise and Worship, taught Wednesday Night services and filled in for the Senior Pastor.
Pastor Dave felt the Lord leading him to start a new Church, which is when New Hope Christian Church began in 1999. Pastor Dave is the Senior Pastor of New Hope as well as being a District Presbyter in the Great Lakes District of the International Fellowship of Christian Assemblies.
Pastor Dave and his wife Bobette have been married for 27 years. They have had no children other than a four-legged one named Buddy.
